At Food4Kids Toronto volunteers are our most valuable resource and we would not exist without you! All individuals who are qualified and meet requirements for a position are welcomed and needed.

Please note minimum age requirement is 18 years. We do welcome children for Food Packs with a parent or guardian in attendance.

Food Shoppers

We are seeking your help as a shopper for Food4Kids Toronto to keep our pantry shelves stocked. Every week you may receive an e-mail with sale price or flyer items at a GTA grocery store. You can purchase as many of the products available. Most stores have a 12-item limit per product. Keep your receipt and submit it when you drop off the purchased items at our headquarters in Markham, Ontario (Denison Street and Warden Avenue). We will send you an EMT for the amount spent based on the store receipt you provide. Drop off at the head office is between Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. Shopping can happen on your own time when available.

Every delivery you make will have a meaningful impact on children and schools in Scarborough.

Food Packs:

On Wednesdays, our warehouse transforms into an assembly line to welcome a group of 10 volunteers to pack 100+ bags of food for students with healthy and nutritious meals to have on the weekends.  Food4Kids Toronto welcomes groups from Corporations, Sports Teams, Schools, Government agencies and Families looking to give back to the community and have an opportunity for team building. Our packs usually begin at 4pm and can finish in 90 minutes to 2 hours depending on the number of volunteers at each pack. Food4Kids Toronto warehouse is located in Markham, Ontario at Denison Street and Warden Avenue. Volunteers are requested to dress comfortably and wear closed toe shoes. Should children under the age of 12 come to a pack they should be accompanied with a parent or guardian.

Food Drive Coordinator:

Be a leader and organize a food drive among your family, friends, team and colleagues. All the items donated will be used for our packs and given to the students. We will provide a list of the non-perishable food products we provide in weekend meals. Food4Kids Toronto can assist with pick-up or accommodate drop off at our warehouse. Food Drives make a great alternative to receiving birthday, house warming or annual gifts.

Helping Hands Volunteer:

Assisting Food4Kids Toronto Committee Members and Coordinators with Canvassing and Fundraising events as they move from ideas to plans. This is a remote volunteer opportunity where you can work on your own time.

Delivery Driver of Food Bags to Schools:

No deliveries are made during Christmas/Winter Holidays, March Break and Summer Holidays. This activity is scheduled only on Friday mornings from 9:30AM to 11AM (90-minute duration).
